Thanks to Technicon Design – France, the world of travel might be up for a change. Their recent, award-winning IXION Windowless Jet Concept, may, at first glance, sound like the end of experiencing stunning aeronautical views. But, it’s quite the opposite.
By removing the windows from the fuselage, they can build a lighter, stronger, and more energy efficient plane. Then, with wing mounted cameras and oversized, flexible screens that would cover the interior of the plane, they propose projecting the exterior environment to the passengers.
This windowless jet project was created specifically for, and was shown at the 2013 NBAA business aviation show. It was also a winner in the 2014 International Yacht & Aviation Awards in the Exterior design category.
