Multiple victims have been shot after a gunman opened fire on revellers at a Cincinnati nightclub – with police launching a murder probe.
Victims have been rushed from the Cameo Club on Kellogg Avenue on the east side of the city to local hospitals and fire stations after the shooting spree.
Cincinnati police have confirmed that one person has died with at least another 14 shot in the attack – with the shooter reportedly still on the run after the incident that took place around 2am.
The severity of the rest of victims’ injuries has not yet been released however the University of Cincinnati Medical Center said it has received eight patients from the shooting, four of which were in a stable condition.
Three were seriously injured and one person was in a critical condition.
Those injured have been taken to four local hospitals.
Police are currently interviewing witnesses and a spokesman has added: “There is absolutely no indication this is terrorist related.”
Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate said that several of the victims have life-threatening injuries.
“We are in the middle of a very horrific situation that occurred at the nightclub with multiple victims,” Neudigate said. “It’s going to be a long night for our homicide units to investigate.”

He went on to tell WLWT that hundreds of people were inside of the nightclub at the time of the shooting, and called it a “chaotic crime scene.”
Cameo nightclub has had several issues in the past and Neudigate added: “We are aware of it. It has had some challenges.”
On the club’s official Facebook page, Cameo Club describes Saturday night as a ”grown up and sexy night” for partygoers aged over 21.
