Treatment and protection
The active substances called triterpenoids, that exist in Argan oil offer surprising benefits for skin protection. These include the treatment of tissue (scar), anti-inflammatory action, sunscreen and disinfection. The oil contains 80 percent unsaturated fatty acids and is more resistant to oxidation of olive oil. Argan oil also contains compounds known as plant sterols. They improve the skin condition, reduce the inflammation and enhance the retention of moisture.
Effect of anti-aging
Argan oil is very effective against aging due to properties such as high levels of vitamin E, tocopherols (antioxidants which help neutralizing damage from the free radicals) and means for softening the skin.
