– 400g pizza dough
– 220g mozzarella
– 2 tbsp of olive oil
– 2 tsp of dried garlic
– 2 tbsp of grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
– 1 tsp of dried oregano
Use the recipe for the pizza dough you normally use. Roll out pizza dough thinly and slice it into long rectangles. Then cut mozzarella into thin strips.
Place them in a baking pan in which you have previously smeared with oil or put baking paper. Leave to rest for a little more at room temperature for 10 min.
During this time, mix the olive oil with garlic powder and salt, and grease the mozzarella sticks. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese and oregano, and then put them to bake in a preheated oven at 230°C for about 20 min.
Take them out from the oven and let them to settle a while. Separate them and serve hot/warm while the cheese inside that is still hot because it is a special experience.
Theese mozzarella sticks are very nice for dips, with some kind of cream soup, as snacks, etc.
