Low Fat Banana Bread Recipe

A delicious low fat banana bread bursting with flavor. It is also a great way to use up those brown bananas on your counter.

Ingredients

– 2 cups flour
– 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 2 eggs, beaten
– 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 to 5 bananas)
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup applesauce
– 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
 
 
 
 
 
 
Instructions

– In a medium bowl combine eggs, mashed banana, sugar, and applesauce.

– Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, and nuts and mix well.

– Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes, or bake 40 to 45 minutes for two pans that are 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 inches.
