Katsu ika odori-don (Dancing Squid)

“Katsu ika odori-don” is a dish from northern Japan. It literally means, “Active Dancing Squid Rice Bowl”. The squad is dead and its head has been removed, but it’s so fresh that the muscles still work. The sodium in the soy sauce triggers a reaction that makes the muscles spasm. The result is spooky. That’s one crazy way to start a meal.
